I said it was religious in its origin (many things are) I never said it was a religion. there is a difference after all.
Science is belief as well.. belief in the most logical answer (that does not mean its truth ofc) hence that I strive to find solution that seems "most logical"
Crocodile can be right when he says we should eat less meat, I actually agree with that. I just also think we should not import nuts, rice and carrots from across the globe.. because that is just as bad.
If you arbitrarily define some forms of nutrition as a "supplement", then "they lack vital nutrients unless they supplement up" can be made true of you or anyone else. This is marketing, not science.
We eat meat in big chunks because it's straightforward to produce it that way. But with something like B12 which is produced by bacteria, how do you suggest people package it other than adding it to other foods (like fortified milks) or pressing it into a small shape like a pill?
Getting over the idea that some parts of the diet are magically not parts of the diet based on their shape would be a good idea. Digestion is digestion.
that wouldn't be vegan.
and eggs are not good, the egg industry is horrific and the poor hens are made to lay eggs unnaturally high compared to the amount they would lay in the wild, so much so in fact that the calcium that forms the eggs shell depletes the bone mass of the poor chicken, its not uncommon for hens to crippled in their filthy cages while the profiteers still demand eggs from them until their dying breath.
You want protein, go to pulses like lentils and beans, far superior and healthy and don't torture a poor hen throughout its life.
as for milk, also cruel and not healthy or worth the torture inflicted on the poor cow. You need not take the growth formula intended for a baby cow to grow to feed yourself while that poor baby cow has its throat slit before it even learns how to walk.
It has been here for ages.
We had bio/eco product 20 years ago as well ie (with that label) but tbh.. even before that, you could easily buy locally.
You can´t compare vegan products to bio/eco.. since vegan products can be filled with chemicals and whatnot.. bio/eco does not.
(ofc obviously, vegan product can be bio as well !! just to be clear about that, just like many other things.. even my soap is bio/eco)
Yeah but it’s much bigger than usual
In the stores I buy stuff (for over 10 years now) most products are local and bio/eco
It's to easy to blame world issues on something someone disagrees with, in this case vegans try to make the case that eating meat is causing climate change while ignoring the true facts solely to fit their own agenda.
its just reality.
Well im not a vegan but it’s definetly a good thing to save animal lives
All animal lives, or only the cute ones?
It's not saving the animals most people care for, it's mostly the welfare of these livestock we care for. On most normal farms, cows, sheep and other animals roam free (to a degree). The farmer looks after their welfare and upbringing to the point of slaughter.
It's these massive warehouse places that raise animals solely for slaughter and were animals are held in horrid conditions. I have seen videos of these places and it's truly shocking.
Another question I want to raise, who is profiting from veganism, questions need asking are these people who are making the money at the top also vegan or is it just a way for them to make money of the backs of vegans.
my idea for getting meat is waiting until the cow dies on a farm then eating it so you don't torture it and it lives a happy life!
