I don't think even the most bored person or the most intelligent person in the world can make this topic debatable. The only response you could give is probably, No you're not eating now. You just believe that you're eating, etc, and then go off on a tangent with some philosophy.
I think you give yourself too much credit; differential equations is taken right after you have completed calculus. In my opinion, it was a cinch; at most, it's a bit harder than Calculus II. Anyhow, they are all still undergraduate studies.
