Question about mechanical stairs
You know those stairs that move by themselves right?

Have you ever tried going into the opposite direction of those stairs?

Did you manage to reach the final of those stairs?

Did you tried it with long stairs or short stairs?

Amateurs. It's about sliding down from the blank middle.

Except they put those round metal hockey puck-things in the middle. Either part of a structural fastener of some sort, or to dissuade people from sliding down that way.

Probably they do not want people to go to the isekai

Wait, wat?
Just wait until the OP finds out about moving sidewalks!

I tried going up the down escalator once as a kid. Tripped and hit my knee right on edge, where are the pointed edges are. Lots of bleeding. Have the scar on my knee to prove it.

Were the stairs wet or something?

You mean escalators?

I remember trying to use one in the opposite direction for the luls. Fun, but I wouldn't recommend it. ESPECIALLY when there's other people around.

Yeah I guess. I probably did that as a kid despite people being around. I remember wanting to go up and down elevators, but my better sense would always tell me "No, that's not what they are for. No... No... But it does look fun"

The diagonal moving things are called escalators, the vertical moving things are called elevators. Unless your last name is Kasuga it's hard to mix them up.

Anyone who says they've never tried this as a child is probably either lying or doesn't remember.

No. It was just really tall and fast escalator, and I was a little kid. Got tired trying to keep up with it, lost concentration and eventually tripped.

I mean they're not really wrong calling them "mechanical stairs". Sort of like calling a coffeemaker a mechanical bean grinder.
