If this is your first mechanical keyboard, then welcome... it will take a little time to get use to, but then you will find yourself never wanting to go back.
Mechanical keyboards however have different types of keys. I personally like the Cherry MX Browns (which is a good mix between gaming and typing for work), plus a bit more quiet, yet still have tactile feedback.
My personal fav keyboard is the Corsair K70 LUX RGB with Cherry MX Browns.
As for Razer...
Razer Green switch is roughly equivalent to the Cherry MX Blue, except that it has a slightly higher actuation point and shorter reset distance.
On the other hand - Razer Orange Mechanical Switch are for those who enjoy a tactile bump and feedback without the audible click. Those are the ones which are more quiet.
I would suggest giving a little time to get use to the new feel. However, if you don't like the key type, see if you can swap it for a different one. You need to find the right Cherry MX keys type for you.
Blue = Typing, are "clicky" switches like a typewriter, best for typing upon. Longer touch distance.
Orange | Brown = Stealth, a mix between typing and gamers.
Red = Hardcore FPS. Heavy. Shortest touch distance. Quicker key press. Linear Switch - Light, smooth, and loud if you tend to bottom out.
Black = Harder to endure on, get tiring after a couple hours of gaming, useless for typing. Some people love them, if they tend to press quite heavy.
Flat keys feel better for shooters but it's not a big deal, maybe I'll embezzle my work PC's keyboard from the trash when it gets replaced
Yes, this is my first mechanical keyboard, switched from membrane dome ones. At first I wanted to go with Cherry switches, but this keyboard was bought spontaneously for no real reason lol... I guess the weirdest thing about this keyboard is how much "dead zone" the keys have, it's like I have to actively think to press the keys down harder - it's difficult to explain but my previous keyboard was light in terms of key resistance.
Hopefully it'll grow on me over time!

Yeah, it will grow on you.
Your fingers have muscle memory and are just use to the old setup. So it's actually quite normal for the change over from membrane to mechanical to feel odd and off at first. The touching pressure has changed upon you too. Within a few weeks you will come to love the mechanical keys, they are seriously so much better when you become use to them.
