I already decided that I was not going to buy them anyway. PS5 I mean, I wouldn't have considered buying an XBox at all. Those are not even true consoles, they are just cramped and severely underpowered computers. And I will never buy a true console anymore anyway, no matter how much they could be fun and intriguing, they clearly want to use them to shove unfair scams down gamers throats, I would be a very narrow minded console fanboy, seriously, I used to be before they started to exploit internet so much for their anti consumer purposes, but I will never let them disrespect me, fool and scam me like that again.

I understand they want to push streaming services like PS Now even more now that Google is entering into the market too but I trust Sony. I don't know about the next gen Xbox but I believe Sony is sure going to consider offline features on PS5 like they did with PS4. It worked incredibly well in their favor. why would they complete do the opposite??? Maybe the NHL developer meant that their game might go always online in the future or some features maybe???? Neither Sony or Microsoft have actually announced any such information. It's way too early to judge and talk about it considering its not coming out until late 2020.

I'd almost bet that these rumors are out on purpose from the companies so they can gauge the reaction were they to try pushing it again without having to deal with actual large backlash from an official announcement.
