why do people like putting posters in their rooms?

i personally have no posters in my room, but lots and LOTS of my friends do.
i mean, i visit their house and there is posters of girls.
why?

The answer to you question is most likely: because they want to adorn the walls with something they like. Sometimes they might do it because they have seen it somewhere else or to 'disguise' as a more typical teen/twen, but most probably they like what is depicted on the posters.
