Is there some actual study why this is such a stress reliever? There must be.

I believe it is because you are releasing your anger and negative emotions onto virtural people.

Just skipping the subject matter, which is about spree killing civilians, the game plays like crap. Tried it with mouse and KB, sucked. Tried a controller, got so mad at it I deleted the game.

I have played some messed up titles. Hell, I recommend Manhunt which is about snuff films and Deadspace 2 where you shoot children in the face. I can forgive a lot, if the game is fun to play. That game is offensive and plays like crap.

That's why I suggsted "Paint the town red" aswell. It plays well and is weirdly relaxing.
