i've literally tried almost every shooter on steams most popular free games, and most of them are dead or just boring. it doesn't even need to be on steam it could be any shooter game as long as its still populated and actually fun

I wouldn't touch that game OP unless you enable the advanced console in options and press "~" to bring up the console to disable voice & chat because that community is proper toxic:

"voice_enable 0"
& bind a key for "ignoremsg"
example; "bind h ignoremsg"

Did you try the Prey demo? Look for other free demos that you have not done yet.

i just tried will to live, and it seems like one of those games designed to give you a virus, and also plays poorly. but thank you for the recommendation

C-S GO if you want a modern-themed fast paced FPS with huge player base.

Quake Champions if you want a dark fantasy/Sci-Fi themed fast paced FPS with smaller player base.

Planetside 2 if you want a Sci-Fi fast paced open world FPS with decent player base.

WWII Online if you want a historic open world slow paced FPS with smaller player base.

There's also things like Team Fortress 2, Heroes & Generals, Paladins, etc. but I haven't played those much.

TF2 is really fun right now because there's new halloween gamemodes going on for all of October. but you have 2,000 hours in tf2 so idk if you'd wanna try it again

CSGO is really fun too. casual mode is chill and a lot more fun than competitive mode imo. if u wanna try it out

tf2 use to be my favorite game but due to the new update it basically changed every weapon and it just doesn't feel the same to me anymore
