Game of the Year 2020?

What will be your game of the year?

I think most of the awards will go to The Last of Us 2 as many journalists have rated the game extremely high and some even hail Neil with higher praise than the father of postmodernism in gaming, Hideo Kojima.

I believe the fan favourite will be Cyberpunk 2077 though.

It will be TLOU2 and Flight Simulator for PC.

I don't think Cyberpunk will get the awards it should, until all the DLC are also out.

Not putting money on it, and I can't speak to console-only titles, because I have no idea.

Not TLOU2. I thought you meant the industry. TLOU2 will be for most of the industry, because they have to. It is guaranteed.

I'd have to say Flight Simulator, because it's groundbreaking.

The only game that's left any impression on me this year has been Othercide.
I'm still waiting on a few to be released before the end of the year and I'm hoping that they'll be decent.

So, for now I choose Othercide.

Whatever it will be, we won't be Voting for it..
It'll be a made up Vote between the Industry, because they know
we won't be taking the Voting serious again, like we did the last time we Voted.

Mortal Kombat 11, was the only one that won with a Legit Award that actually fit the Title.

I rarely play games in the year that they actually come out, so it will likely be something that I just happened to play this year, as opposed to something that actually released in 2020. So far the only new game I've played has been Stoneshard, which is enjoyable but in need of more updates before I can really consider it something great.

Favorite game I've played this year overall? Probably Celeste, at the moment.
