How do people recieve games for free in the game reviews section on steam

You have to play the game for a minimum of 5 minutes.

You would already own the game.

Be a name, write lots of excellent reviews, know the dev. That is how I got my copy of a game. I told the dev I was gonna go buy it because it was awesome, and he dropped me a copy. So I bought his other game instead.

Man, I wonder how he is doing. I haven't seen Del in these parts forever.

I don't mark games I got as gifts as "I received this for free".
After all, someone paid for it.

If I were to get something totally comp'd by a dev, though, I'd check the box.

They hang around games that are way early in creation and show interest. As it develops they are given a copy. Others are given copies if they tend to have a lot of reviews and seem to give mostly good ones.

Pretty sure Ericka has a full time job doing very responsible things. She just really likes games too.

I mean I have a full time job, and I watch more movies in a month that most people do in a decade. Different people have different priorities for their free time.
