Of course the whole point of flac is that it's lossless for better quality. But you're bound to lose some of that quality trying to rip audio from videos that have already been compressed and whatnot. Just FYI.

I'm fairly new to this stuff but how does one properly rip the audio from a video and then convert it to flac? Also, is this the only way to get flac audio from a Youtube source?
Oh I can't help you there. That would just be the approximate process. As far as the "only" way, well there's usually more than one way to do things. But you're gonna have to go found the plentiful resources to do it on your own, because Hotsauce is right.
