How are memes funny?

Am I the only one that dont find them funny at all? Like I don't understand my friends at college will show me meme after meme and i don't even smile or that sad nose breath laugh, I just don't understand how it's viewed as comedy? Maybe I'm just more mature but I'd rather watch real comedy like bill bur or another comdian.

It's fine you don't understand and some people do. Not all are thinking cognitvely equal of others.
You not a social person and it's fine to be special. You'll never be able to understand and it's better to improve on your abilities you're good at. Understanding society was not a trait of yours.

Memes are probably something like a catch basin for people who like to be intellectually and socially among their peers.

If you are too socially awkward to be bothered by real discussions, your vocabulary is not enough and Tik-Tok sounds like an interesting occupation, then memes are certainly a mentally challenging time free time activity.
