Very cleaver.
Nobody is stopping you, good-looking.
no.. you misunderstand.. YOU are part of "everyone"..
Because you have to? Really?
Yes of course I know if you just used Rockstar launcher you would have probably died or something like that yes...
Actually no.
If you decide to do nonsensical stuff with your PC it's your problem.
On console you should buy three different of them if you want to play with all of their games, otherwise you will miss many of the best ones.
On PC you can lauunch consecutively as many launchers as you want (I still don't get why anyway) for free because you can download any launcher for free.

those things failed pretty bad, this is why nobody tried to replicate something like that again, otherwise you probably would have tons of those add ons and for sure not for free like a launcher is.
If you really are annoyed stop buying consoles (the first original source of every anti consumer practice in existence) and stop supporting annoying and anti consumer developers and stores on PC
If you want to switch to consoles be prepared to get annoyed at least as much, but having to pay with your money for every annoyance they decide to shove down your throat.
Then you have the issues like every publisher having their own launcher. A.k.A: Rockstar, Bethesda, EA, Ubisoft, Blizzard, etc. Honestly, publishers should have stayed focused on distributing through vendors just like they did with physical stores (i.e. Steam, GOG, and any others like that). I know Steam started/is a publisher platform, but it adapted into more of a full vendor. Even so, from what I hear, GOG has better scripting and not so much bloat-coding on their copies of games.
I use no other launcher so no Ubisoft-EA Origin Bethesda-Blizzard Epic or rockstar games.
♥♥♥♥ them all.
