Recommend me some anime movies please, not tv series.
I like anime but it's mostly 80's and 90's stuff like Ninja Scroll, Golgo 13, Akira, Cyber City, Dominion Tank Police, Ghost in the shell, stuff like that. I like more serious, action based stuff with cool characters and not a series with like 62 episodes.
Recommend me some cool anime movies please.

Wicked City is one of those older anime films that no one wants to bring back. Which is a shame, really. Would like to have a blu-ray copy of it. :sadpug:

I just love that era of anime. The art style was cool and stylish without the characters looking dumb with huge eyes and there wasn't as much stupid fan service and the action was fast and brutal. The English dubs of movies from then were spot on too and were often more entertaining than the originals.

Agreed. Except for the dubs part - that's a coin-flip for me. Also, thought of two other anime films you might like:

Appleseed (1988)

&

M.D. Geist: Most Dangerous Soldier (1986)
“Ah! My Goddess: The Movie” (2000)
"Wolf Children" (2012)

M.D. Geist: Most Dangerous Soldier looks cool. Wow it's expensive though.
Everything from Ghibli
Everything from Makoto Shinkai
Everything from Mamoru Hosoda

My Neighbor Totoro is the nicest movie, even someone with the blackest heart would get a smile from watching it.

I don't know about every, but he's pretty good as well.

Garden of Words looked frigging amazing, but the story itself... Eh, not a fan.
5cm Per Second was so frustrating that I quit halfway through. I've already been spoiled that it didn't have a happy ending, and train constantly screwing up didn't help.

Tales From Earthsea
My ex gave me a copy for Christmas. I never watched it, Cartoon Lampoon Podcast called it unfinishable garbage. I want to know if it is that bad.
