How to create good passwords?
Now, I'm not asking about things like "use long passwords with special symbols, use capital letters and numbers" and stuff like that. This is not hard to do. What is hard, however, is remembering all this stuff.

What I was thinking was selecting something, like the name of my favourite YouTuber, and switching the letters into different places in a way that allows me to easily remember the password, but to anyone unfamiliar with the technique makes the password look like random blob of letters. This technique results in passwords like this: "DsAkMrIoAkN1_3.0_9.1_9.9_9", which looks pretty random, but is actually very easy to remember. What do you think about this technique? Btw. the password I provided is not used anywhere, I created it specifically for this thread.

Perhaps. My response was under the assumption that the OP will in all honesty not be able to remember a realistically secure password. And at that rate, if I were them, I'd rather store my stuff in an encrypted file than writing it down on paper.

A good password doesn't have to be hard to remember.

Doesnt take long to crack an encrypted file noawadays.. Even wifi WPA2 AES can be cracked. With a file like that you speak an offline crack wouldnt take long with cloud computing and GPUS
If character limits are high or non-existent, why not use a passphrase rather than a password? Far more secure and the chances of someone guessing your totally nonsensical phrase are low. The trick is to come up with some sentence that doesn't really make sense but you personally will be able to remember.

Example: floppybunniesjumpingondeadbodies
One extra question:
Does the username also have to be hard to guess/crack if the password is already strong? Keep in mind that I'm not storing ultra-secret Hillary messages or something, I just want to feel relatively safe about my account's security

Using Keefarce tool? If the hacker can run that on your computer then they have complete control over your system anyway.

I use keepass simply to store all my many hundreds of passwords rather than keep them totally 100% safe from prying eyes. Sick of having to remember passwords.

They can just steal the password hash file and dycrypt it
use your birthday and pet's name. that way everybody knows your pword.

wait. there's more. you need to use combo of letters (capital and small-cased), numbers, allowed characters, max total 16 characters.
