Online game with high character/class customization
Hey guys,

I've been trying for days to look for a game that would allow me to not only customize my character, the way he looks, but also his class. Something similar to what Guild Wars 1 used to offer a very long time ago.
Apparently, it seems these features are too complicated for modern games, which only pigeonhole players into playing class/characters and that's that.

Which online game besides Guild Wars 1 could allow me to play some melee barbarian and a pet ?
Seems I can't see anything, besides going back to a modded Skyrim...

Thanks in advance for those who'll help a suggest some games.

Team Fortress 2 comes to mind.

Depends on how rigid your thinking is.
Eve has the most powerful character creator I can think of, and you can easily specialise in being a short range fighter with drones.
