What are the best stealth games on Steam you recommend?

I should put it out there..I love a challenge. Infact, I need a challenge. Give me something hard. I love stealth games. I love playing stealth in any game, every opportunity I get. I guess lately I've realized that this is really my all time favorite genre. I've done it for years, and not to brag, but I've gotten pretty good at it. Dishonored and Deus Ex are my most favorites. I don't know if I'd call Hotline Miami or Deadbolt stealth games, but..I enjoy the difficulty of both.

Bonus points if any of those games have hacking.

The first Splinter Cell is a pretty good choice if you like unforgiving games and challenges

It wouldn't be a stealth game without undetected now, would it? ;) I prefer being undetected. And I do pacifist playthroughs..Lethal ones come second, sort of as a treat to myself.Nice suggestion, though! I'm putting all these in my wishlist.

Metro series you can stealth parts of the game. Thief series (old, but gold). MGS series. Also I guess you could go stealth in those Crysis games. :/

Yeah you don't appear to have Thief (on Steam at least); fix that first! First two are the best, 3 has some bland and/or nonsense aspects but still a lot of good stuff, skip the most recent one entirely. Mark of the Ninja is top-notch too, absolutely.

Stealth Bastard is a very neat little game. It has a sequel too, the unfortunately less-strikingly-named Stealth Inc. 2.

Alpha Protocol I thoroughly enjoyed, similar appeal to Deus Ex though a bit more RPG-y.

Monaco is interesting, especially if you've got friends handy.

Invisible Inc might be worth a look, got a lot of praise even if it wasn't quite my cup of tea. And on the "I've not played it yet but I plan to" list would be Neon Struct.

you can't say dishonored 2 has good stealth when they won't release system specs muchless anything else....
