Indie games with pixel art....

Am I the only one who is sick of these indie games using pixels? Particularly the ones that try to look like the NES or SNES? WE GET IT, YOU LOVE GETTING OFF TO YOUR NOSTALGIA! It was fine with Shovel Knight, but why do we have to have a gajillion of these indie games with pixel art that I can't tell the difference between that and Shovel Knight? Pick up a pencil and start doing hand drawn art already. It's getting old.

Not everyones device can handle 4k ultra hd.

Doubt that'll become too popular. I think the replacement for pixel games will be a revival of the retro FPS genre, with games like DUSK, AMID EVIL, and Devil Daggers being so popular.
And I'm all the ♥♥♥♥ aboard if that's the case.

Nah its gonna be a new genre of games which looks good with pixel art only.

I understand the low budget, but too many indie games are going for NES graphics (a lot of them don't even remotely look like the NES), make it a 2D platformer, and they completely rip off Mega Man. They have nothing new to show. IT'S BEEN DONE TO DEATH! WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER ONE!

I make games here with pixel art because it's a choice, not a crutch. Personally-speaking I love a good pixel art game and will almost always gravitate towards one vs a hyper-realistic looking game.

I'm honestly just sick of MetroidVania games.

It's a lazy genre that's been done to death. There's so many of them now that they've gotten me to avoid all platformers since they're all the same damn game now.

Good news you got rimworld-likes starting to get made and more and more terraria-likes are coming. And theres the isaac clones of course.
