Is there a pointless school subject?

I've been wondering this. I am homeschooled so I will ask those who went to school; Is there a subject that's pointless, you'll never use and is just boring?

And there you go sir, you are using history. You required at the very least one side of the story to even know anything about it. Now you can research the other! Ahh history, in use everyday by all. Education separates one from ignorance. To simply know that Hitler called his people Aryan is one thing. You can take that, skin your head, and shout it even. An educated person understands why he used the term, and who Aryans actually were in history. Indo-Iranians. The irony is thick sometimes, and there is most always a lesson to be learned

Actually disagree. Religious education at school was helpful in determining how ridiculous religion is.

Actually disagree. Religious education at school was helpful in determining how ridiculous religion is.

Considering that religion has steered civilization as much as economic trade ever did, it can't hurt to know a bit about the different belief systems. Or, you could just keep on saying things against "it" and the 6+ billion people on the planet that follow one. Not to debate or argue, I'm just suggesting that it is important to know about, even if you don't follow it.

Many say that history is the most useless subject. However, as a former history teacher, it is my duty to say that history is important to study so we don’t repeat the same mistakes our ancestors made.

I can’t imagine using half of the things I learned in algebra in college. I doubt I’ll ever use an abacus, calculate in ancient Mayan numerals, or construct Euler diagrams.

Music is used everyday, and its a talent not a subject for learning

There should be some effort to organize ones life. Of course your world could turn upside down in a second. You still have a foundation to hold onto and rebuild from.

There are several tbh, although most are probably to fill in for quotas or so people have something to do for a class credit:

woodchop: because irl everyone owns a sawblade and the right tools to make of all things birdhouses and other wooden commodities

home ec: Really it's for girls i know, but if you don't know how to do basic things theres really no hope for you (talking about the people who fail the class lol)

spanish class: in the south it's a really dumb class they have to fullfil foreign language classes in some schools. Like around 1/2 the population is / are mexicans or hispanics and you expect them to learn how to talk in spanish lol

multi-media class: a class that teaches you how to do things you learned when you were about 8 and got your first computer or electornic device lol. There are some that teach you useful things, but most of them is just learning the basics and not really practicing much like how to open an app or make a flyer vs actually doing it lol.

and my fav:
tutorials or after school study session
basically a class where you don't do anything useful. They only keep you after class for like an extra 30 min to review stuff that's supposed to help you pass the state exam, but it really doesn't

these are, at least from my experience, classes i've seen that really don't do much for students and provide much needed skills.
