No crashes in 4 hours, while it was crashing every 20~30 mins there for days. Awesome. Gave you some much-deserved Steam points for this.

Revo uninstaller is your friend, does that kind of thing automatically.
When uninstalling applications, user-directory files are often not removed. So, local user appdata file entries may need to be deleted by hand when uninstalling some applications that use that directory.
And, it's a PITA. But, it's a solution to many problems where an app says it is "removed" but then looks for and doesn't overwrite data there. All just to save user-preferences and to forestall user reinstall complaints, I guess. (Dunno, not a coder)
