Do you guys think health benefits of tea is overrated?
And i mean real tea, not market stuff, or pre bagged.

I'm tea drinker, and i do buy expensive ones regularly, bought probably over 80 different region teas, some being expensive as ♥♥♥♥, as gyokuro and some high grade Chinese ones.

I personally find those claims exaggerated or even possible lies. I do believe some of them, because they have been scientifically proven, and some others from personal experience.

Preventing or Alzheimers, Dementia, preventing cancer, helping with inflammations (might help but nowhere near as much as claimed), bone health (also likely true but nowhere near as much as claimez) and whatnot are likely huge exaggerations or simply not true.

Its been marketed as something that makes it seem like it will fix many things in you, like possibly diabetes.

I have noticed it improves my working memory, helps with anxiety, and seems to boost metabolism, but i havent noticed anything else.

Thoughts?

I remember when i bought "Green tea" and that tea had black color instead of green one, that was pretty sad.

I think the health benefits to everything are overrated. Calories mean little, the food pyramid does not equal a healthy lifestyle, and everything that helps you (according to one person) also kills you (according to another person in the same field).

Just eat what looks like food. It's mostly worked for me.

There are Health benefits?
Ive been drinking tea thinking it was just some delicious drink. Never thought it had benefits

I can guarantee market tea, like has no benefits at all. Lipton and such is just some left over dust from real tea, and contains artificial flavors. Even market loose leaf tea is bad, because super markets have no clue how to store tea properly, they might have been sitting on shelf for years, and are very low quality.

But yeah, tea has health benefits, but some of them are not real. Weigh loss, not real, cancer preventing, not real. It does improve brain functions, lower stress, and contain many nutrients and vitamins and such.

Do you had the chance to try the turkish tea?

When i was kid, we visited Turkey twice, shops offered us some apple tea, which was really good. Other than that, i have no experiences with teas from Turkey.

I’m not sure, but there *is* a particular brand of tea I drink that actually helps me to sleep. Smells and tastes great, too. :lunar2019piginablanket:

It wasnt green tea, or you used very hot water. Also, Hojicha is not green tea, even though some shops say it is.

I actually have no idea. I mean I love tea. I drink quite a variety. Particular fan of Earl grey and oolong. Toss in some Irish breakfast tea and I am going to be having a productive day.

But I only know the actual effects of chamomile. Which is incredibly relaxing.

I guess I would agree with you that it is overrated. But again I don't know much about tea aside from what I like to drink. I know that none of the tea I drink gives me any kind of side effect of side from like a cup of coffee.

I do like coffee though. Kona blend is awesome.

Mmmmm....Nope guess.
But sounds familiar maybe i tried it before.
Sometimes I just don’t follow what I’m buying, when I see some kind of tea in “fancy” package then I’ll definitely buy it.

Isn't tea bad for your teeth or something?

I think you havent tried it, its pretty memorable. First it has very strong taste, and deep red color. When i first time tried it, it really surprised me. Got like immediate energy spike and i didnt expect it to taste so strong.

I would suggest trying some real tea shop oolongs, they're easy to brew. They're usually 85c to 95c tö water temp range and 5 minutes.

If you dont put sugar in it, tea actually disinfects your mouth, so its good for your mouth.
