Do you guys think health benefits of tea is overrated?
And i mean real tea, not market stuff, or pre bagged.

I'm tea drinker, and i do buy expensive ones regularly, bought probably over 80 different region teas, some being expensive as ♥♥♥♥, as gyokuro and some high grade Chinese ones.

I personally find those claims exaggerated or even possible lies. I do believe some of them, because they have been scientifically proven, and some others from personal experience.

Preventing or Alzheimers, Dementia, preventing cancer, helping with inflammations (might help but nowhere near as much as claimed), bone health (also likely true but nowhere near as much as claimez) and whatnot are likely huge exaggerations or simply not true.

Its been marketed as something that makes it seem like it will fix many things in you, like possibly diabetes.

I have noticed it improves my working memory, helps with anxiety, and seems to boost metabolism, but i havent noticed anything else.

Thoughts?

Some are, some aren't.

There are much better antioxidant sources than green tea. But on the other hand, kombucha does live up to it's reputation. At least the stuff you make yourself. Not commercial weaksauce.

I don't look very far into all those claims but I know tea is great and all, like it's God.

I drink a fair amount of tea, and I know it's not a miracle drink that cures every problem known to man, but it does help with some things. In my experience, it helps me to curb feelings of nausea when I'm not feeling well or help to reduce that bloated feeling from when I eat something very rich and fatty. I still think that any claims that it "cures cancer" or whatnot are a little bit excessive though.

I drink tea almost every day and it hasn't made me look any less ugly. Tea is a fraud!

Its funny how many sites claims green tea fights cancer, yet there is no proof it actually does.

Gaba oolong or greens Might be pretty potent body healers, but even those wont be miracle drinks.

I bought Gaba oolong but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the taste. Consider this, i enjoy my tea as plain. No sugar, no berries, just tea. I like the taste as it is, but GABA oolong... It tastes the same as wet dog smells...

I’m not sure, but there *is* a particular brand of tea I drink that actually helps me to sleep. Smells and tastes great, too. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Any product that claims to have "health benefits" are overrated compared to just having a balanced diet.
