Has online toxicity decreased?
I remember the older Modern Warfare 2 lobbies were some of the best arguments I've ever had, nowadays game lobbies seem so tame.

Nah it's still there.

It's still around, manifesting in new forms, in concentrated places I would say.

It's still there, sure, but it's decreased ever so slightly.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like online lobbies are becoming less toxic.

Maybe.

I'd say the quality of it has decreased. People had some creative insults back on MW2/Halo 3/Tom Clancy New Vegas 2/New CS:GO.

I'm not impressed these days.

Noticed how CSGO is the most played game on Steam? Take a guess what's happened to all that toxicity.

Yes and no. It's okay both way, what really matter did you change yourself a little bit to better one. :cozyrealmroyale:

Yeah that's what I mean some of those insults were actually funny compared to the stuff we have now.

I looked back on what they were like before, they didn't age to well, just mostly people getting a rise out of little kids anger. I know there was other stuff though with "Trolling"

I miss the Modern Warfare 2 trash talk tbh. It was one of the reasons why I kept playing, lol

not from my experiences, there is an awful lot of toxicity still around, some games have it more than others.

its mainly in the ranked and comp modes of games where winning affects a persons ranking and stats and people become obsessed with it even though its not important and think its ok to ruin the game for people and be rube because they expect to win every game and have a hard time realising they are not perfect and everyone loses. but hey its never their fault they lost is it, nope they need to direct their anger at everyone else to shield their flaws.

Pretty sure it doesn't

I love non-team toxicity. It's fun. Teammates though, not so fun.

Still there, moderation has only increased over the years and primarily it does a pretty good job at moderating the toxicity out.
