Well in my experience they're not actually attracted to "bad guys" per se, just to the dominant behaviors that they tend to display, you can also have them without being a "bad guy".

No, it's more often neither of those.

Most abusers start off charming, sweet, the best partner you could ever imagine. Then they slowly turn up the heat after you fall in love with them. By the time the red flags are more obvious, most women (or men) are caught in the trap. Nothing to do with seeking out abusers per se. I know it's hard for people who have never been abused to understand, but if you do any quick google search for peoples' stories, you'll get a better idea. Sometimes it's fear. Sometimes it's love. Most of the time, it's both.

Some women like men, some like other women, some like both... some love their cats instead. but none of them are particular "good" or "bad" it is just an easy way for others to label people that live their life differently than themselves.
