Will the war ever end in Warhammer 40k
I first know about Warhammer after I finished playing Company of Heroes and look for another game that Relic made. And then I found it, the first Dawn of War. I was blown away by the opening, the gameplay that seems like it was ahead of its time, and the freakin Orkz that speaks like a 13 years old Halo player except they bite harder then they bark.

And after that I tried to read some of its lore on Wikia. And boy oh boy does it sound deppresing as ♥♥♥♥♥.

It seems that the war I see on Dawn of War was just a small piece of action below the gigantic battle that threaten tears the galaxy apart. After reading more, I pretty much know that galaxy was literally tear apart by the Eyes of Terror.

So, the question is, will the war ever end in Warhammer 40k? And I am not a lore master of this game so dont expect me to know every slaneshi deamons that deviant art made.

I doubt it but then again I never expected GW to destroy Warhammer Fantasy and replace it with Age of Sigmar.
In the 40k "universe" there is only war, there have being a few times in the stories where some human rebels had tried on making peace or truces with some races before they got betrayed and obliterated by the Empire's wrath of
"exterminatus"

I've never played Warhammer 40k though I do have a starter kit for it. I regret never playing Warhammer Fantasy.

What's a uniserve, something that serves everyone?
It will only end when one race is left standing. Even then civil war can still happen within a good number of said races. Just note that I don't know all the lore for every race like Eldar, and T'au for example are ones I didn't care to keep track of.

Outside of in game lore the only end will happen when it stops making Games Workshop money.

This is pretty much what I envisioned if the Imperium wins. They literally stray from the Emperor's wishes to eridicate religion because it divided them. Instead, he was worshipped and cause even more division between his empire. How ironic.

"universe" :p
I can't even understand the lore of that game.
Who would want a game titled "Hammer 40K"? So, no.

I haven't played the series btw.
It certainly won't. The Chaos gods simply corrupt humans too easily, especially in an environment such as a Spire city or Forge world, where the living conditions are abysmal, which ensures an endless supply of worshipers to help daemons materialize from out of the warp. Daemons themselves can't truly be killed, they just get sent back to the Warp and come back again.
The Orks are a species that doesn't know any other way of functioning. They were engineered in the way we know them by the Old ones as a last-ditch effort to combat the Necrons, which is why the Orks are all vicious, almost fearless, extremely resillient and latent psychics. The Necrons simply want to annihilate all life in the universe, the Tyranids want to consume all life in it. Orks, Necrons, Tyranids and Daemons can't be reasoned with, therefore as long as they exist, there can't be peace.

I didnt mean if the imperium win. I meant if the war will ever end. Will everyone dies? Or only one of them left standing? Or unlikely, learn to coexist with each other.
Yeah, thats impossible. The point of the story is that the war never ends.

And I didn't even mean for the Imperium to win. Orks, Daemons, Tyranids and Necrons are enemies not just of the Imperium, but also of Eldar and T'au and as well hostile towards each other. When I said that they can't be reasoned with, that means that they can never make peace with races like the eldar, human and t'au. Orks fight every faction they run into, and when they don't they fight among themselves. Necrons want the galaxy cleansed of EVERY living species, not just humans. The tyranids want to turn every other living species into biomass for their hive-fleets. They feed on eldar, ork, human and t'au alike. The only two ways for the war in the 40k universe to end are 1) the Tyranids successfully consume every other living species and move on to another galaxy 2) the Necrons succeed in their endeavour to wipe out all life.

Put them all on a halo ring and then BAM
Peacehammer just sounds stupid. Ceasefirehammer even more so.
