please tell me how to get guns in sleeping dogs definitive edition?

i asked in the sleeping dogs discussion but didnt have any luck i didnt wanna bother you but, the martial arts fighting in that game is sick but i saw the gunplay and its astonishing. do i have to walk around in circles for hours and hours trying to figure out how to find a gun, walk in a bar and open fire? boy they really make you work for those firearms in that game.

Rob a cop car. They always have weapons, I believe.

The sewers also have enemies with firearms.

thanks. its probably not that hard to get guns in the game i just started playing it so thats probably why its difficult for me. btw sleeping dogs is a beautiful game wow. walking around the city those tall water fountains and the beauty of the city. the game got all good reviews

Guns are completely useless in the game, if you need it for a mission or collectible, it will be on the ground right before it.

You don't find ammo around the streets, it's not GTA, it's completely focused on martial arts.

ok but i watched a youtube video of sleeping dogs of someone shooting cops and people to death just like gta.

Yes, you CAN shoot people to death, but guns aren't really that effective in comparison with melee weapons. Also, you don't get to KEEP guns. The moment you run out of ammo with one the weapon will be gone. You also cannot buy ammunition for them.

You can't treat this game like GTA. Think of it as Tekken but with vehicles.

There'll be times you get to use guns and It'll happen more often later on in the story. But yeah, it's martial arts focus and also works on the premise that guns are illegal in Honk Kong and rarely seen.

Heck the first mission with a gun is because a friend of yours gives you a gun she found because she is trying to get rid of it and scared that the authorities would find her with it.

The only time you ever need to use guns is in missions where they have gunfights, in which case you are provided with guns. Outside of missions I only ran into gangs that had guns once or twice.

They're both great in their own right. I keep going back to playing sleeping dogs as much as I go back to play GTA (I know, time on my profile seem low, but I have had the game on X360, PS4, and now PC). Sleeping Dogs hugs a beautiful line between the more serious tone of GTA 4 and the fun, over the top action of something like Saints Row, all wrapped up in a unique aesthetic and world built on solid martial arts combat, Need for Speed style driving, and slick John Woo gunplay. Its a solid game all round.

The gunplay in this game is absolutely awful, they're totally a last resort or only useful for when the game deliberately gives you one.
