There are a TON of lyrics that I could consider my favorites, but I'll have to go with two very dark examples.

From Pink Floyd's "Hey You",

message isnt everything you know. I dont want to hear some bullied kid scream into a microphone about problems in the world with loud guitars. Ofc its not all like that, RATM is pretty good but i mean come on man, AUS rotton sounds like ♥♥♥♥, listen to some Ax7 or something. Also pop has good meanings too

Aus Rotten sings about racism, fascism, and everything in between. They aren't just making vague references to it that every one can agree with. They pull no punches in their lyrics. Pop singers are restricted by whats popular.

They still sound awful man, like message isnt an excuse to make ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sounding songs, take tool for example. good message. good sound. I'd rather listen to justin timberlake sing about how britney spears cheated on him than some screaming know it all talking about politics

Aus Rotten sings about racism, fascism, and everything in between. They aren't just making vague references to it that every one can agree with. They pull no punches in their lyrics. Pop singers are restricted by whats popular.

You just stated the exact reason why I strongly dislike pop music. Stupid and meaningless subjects. I'd rather listen to a 'know it all talk about politics' than bs celebrity drama.

Im not saying that at all, im saying bands that sound like ♥♥♥♥ dont have talent, they only have a message. I like some of Opeths songs
