Is Turkish similar to Hungarian?
Is Hungarian similar to Finnish?

Turkish has nothing to do with Hungarian and Finnish that are Finno-Ugric language family.
what are you talking about ? hungarian and turkish language have a common root, even hungarian state coming to turkic conincil(only turkic nation can come to this meet) you can see the hungarian language and turkish language similarity, also you can see finnish language, EVEN all finnish subjects are same with turkish,,

finnish İ mina turkish men/ben

sound of hungarian language,,i do not how is my language sound but every turk can say that when they listen a hungarian conversation is these people have a connection with us _? it is very complex to explain but sound of hungaria language comes to us very simillar but we cannot say simillar to what _?
That's because Hungarians are not from Hungary. They were a nomadic steppe tribe, like the ancient Turks. Hungarians invaded Bulgaria, and settled in what is now modern Hungary, eventually converting to Christianity.
bulgaria ? it is imposible, because ONOGUR turks invaded bulgaria, they are OGUZ turks ON OGUR means at turkish language TEN OGUZ ON ten OGUR oguz, but they asimilated by slavic people, because their population was so few, they were only elite ruller clash and wariors, today name of bulgar word comes from turkish language, slavic bulgarian saying we are bulgar,,, but bulgar is a turkish name,, even today at russian federation there is a VOLGA BULGAR state, they are real bulgar,, i said it impossible because like what i said, bulgars were OGUZ turks, ON OGUR, hungarian people is mix of uralic and altaic people. also i would like to say,, ALTAİ is a mountain original name is AL TAY it,s mean GOLDEN MOUNTAİN in turkish language,, modern turkish ALTIN DAG also same way URAL is a mountain and it is comes from turkish language, and it is meaning STONE BRİDGE today we have no word about stone bridge, but we still have names, which are VURAL URAL

It's almost as if the Turkish language contributed to Chinese which contributed to the development of Japanese...
For every language tree I've seen there are no "branches" for Japanese or Chinese.
in turkey there is,, turkish education minitery have teaching that since 1930s they searched it since 1923, that is which date establishment of turkish republic,, https://isteataturk.com/gorseller/thumb/1509297166_ataturk.jpg

this is a sheet from a turkish primary school, you can see family tree

The language of their ancestor's may have affected each other, but I do not believe they are related.

It would be interesting to know what those words you used for comparison looked like two thousand years ago, if they were even used the same way.

effect ? if there is only words, okey that can be,, but we are talking about grammer, japanes grammer same with turkish, and this is not easy, because japanes and turkish language have so many grammer rules, this makes CONCİDENCE rate İMPOSİBLE, if your language is a indo european you can not understand that, because altaic language grammers are a different world,, there is so many rules and additinal words, over the origin of word,, like,, (BU DA NE DİR Kİ) i cannot write this turkish word correctly at english simpley and uncorrectly WHAT İS THİS ?,, because english have no additinal words,, but at japanes language i can write, KONO MO NAN DESU KA ? so a language can influence a other language with word, but can not influence with grammer it is imposible, only make some additinal grammer rules, notting more, but japanes grammer same with turkish. influence? it is imposible. i said, ENGLİSH MORE HARDER THAN JAPANES FOR TURKS(without chinese wiriting system)

1)also for this comparison, at old anatolian turkish, K is pronunce like G and I pronunce like U so yukarı is at turkish villages, YUGARU,, AGARU, YUGARU(still at villages turkish folk speaking like this not so old or ancient)
Turkish: yukarı (upper)
Japanese: agaru ( go up / rise)

2)SHOGUN it is meaning at japanes, greatest army ruller,, and at turkish GENERAL is SONGUN (today we are not using songun it is genral now)

3)YAMA is meaning mountain at japanes language, at turkish YAMAÇ is meaning SLOPE

4) TOMADACHİ,FREND ancient turkish TOMDAŞ(today ARKADAŞ)

5) İMA , NOW ,,TURKİSH ŞİMDİ FOLK DİALECT İMDİ

6) TEPPEN,,,TOP, TURKİSH TEPE

7) KATAİ SOLİD TURKİSH KATI

8) İE HOME TURKİSH EV

last one, this is very interesting,, KATANA meaning at japanes, BİG SWORD KATANA saltly meaning BİG at turkish language SAME WORD KATANA meaning ENORMOUS even today some turkish villagers using this word FOR ENORMOUS BİG ANİMALS, like KATANA HORSE, KATANA COW(BİG HORSE BİG COW) this is very interesting.
