I just think that digital music is cheating. It doesnt require any discipline or talent to generate music from software. All one needs is the right equipment and a basic understanding of music composition
Hate: Trap
What is Trap? Never heard anything of that type.
Love: Black metal. Also a lot more.
Today, a lot of good artists are ruined by strict boundaries set by the music industry. Most of the music is numb and empty. I want my music organic, made by people who make it for the music, not by people behind the scenes just for the money.
From here on in, it will mostly be manufactured music. That's just how it is these days. Money talks, you know?
The latest find was "Me and that Man". So being a "metalhead" does not entirely restrict one from listening or creating other music. I think that is narrow minded. And I consider myself more "metal" than many.
Music is very important for me, and the least important thing is the hi-fi quality and technical feats. You can't compare Sex Pistols to todays "punk", nor there is match for Elton John or Johnny Cash, no matter how many try. And I believe a lot of good artists with a lot more to give have been devoured by the industy standards, without even considering you have to "look and perform" the way the audience and large distributors want...
What I said was >I just think that digital music is cheating. It doesnt require any discipline or talent to generate music from software< which is absolutely true. Generating a song using a piece of software and a keyboard and mouse requires 0 musical talent. You dont have to devote years of practice to master an instrument. All you have to do is lay down a drum track and a few different variation of same beat and Walla you have a song
Synth & jazz?
