Rock and roll all the way

I hate digital music (pretty much any music with the words tech, or step in it). Music that comes from a computer can hardly be called music
oh boy you don't understand how music works ahaha
Actually it's the exact opposite. I have studied music most of my life and I play 4 different instruments.

I just think that digital music is cheating. It doesnt require any discipline or talent to generate music from software. All one needs is the right equipment and a basic understanding of music composition
:100percent:Love: classic rock, military marches and some j-pop.

:100percent:Hate: rap, realy heavy metal, electro and modern pop songs.

I love most forms of electronic music, particularly synthwave (or nu-disco or neo-80's or whatever the genre is called this week), FM synth and glitch-hop.

There isn't really any genre that I flat-out dislike, apart from perhaps the really, really screamy kinds of metal (death metal, black metal or whatever) where it sounds like a pig's throat is being slit over the microphone.
Thats growling not screaming XD

Hate: Nowadays generic pop, rap and r&b which all sound the same today, crunched out by the money making machines...

Love: Black metal. Also a lot more.

Today, a lot of good artists are ruined by strict boundaries set by the music industry. Most of the music is numb and empty. I want my music organic, made by people who make it for the music, not by people behind the scenes just for the money.

From here on in, it will mostly be manufactured music. That's just how it is these days. Money talks, you know?

I know exactly what you mean. Even though I am a 100% extreme metal listener (that just has the "thing"), I love also punk, country, rock'n'roll and even some good techno/trance artists.

The latest find was "Me and that Man". So being a "metalhead" does not entirely restrict one from listening or creating other music. I think that is narrow minded. And I consider myself more "metal" than many.

Music is very important for me, and the least important thing is the hi-fi quality and technical feats. You can't compare Sex Pistols to todays "punk", nor there is match for Elton John or Johnny Cash, no matter how many try. And I believe a lot of good artists with a lot more to give have been devoured by the industy standards, without even considering you have to "look and perform" the way the audience and large distributors want...

All music comes from computers. Your response makes you seem like a fanboy. Every thing you said just then i'll bet is 100% false. And you said you liked Rock. You know electric guitar basically comes from a computer right? Please. Every thing you said in your first post to now made zero sense. Just quit. It's not helping you case.

You just made yourself look stupid, he said generated from a computer not just from a computer, even then you took it greatly out of context.

I hate to say it bud, but I think you sound more like a fanboy then I do.

What I said was >I just think that digital music is cheating. It doesnt require any discipline or talent to generate music from software< which is absolutely true. Generating a song using a piece of software and a keyboard and mouse requires 0 musical talent. You dont have to devote years of practice to master an instrument. All you have to do is lay down a drum track and a few different variation of same beat and Walla you have a song

Its a bit more complex than that and getting the hang of software can take months but thats still not years and you will eventually get a decent song without skill which is impossible on an instrument.
There are exceptions ..
Synth & jazz?
