Why do you think PC gaming is better than consoles?

I like gaming in general

I like PC Gaming, because you have more control over the Visual Quality, more control over MODS, more control over Game Editing, & its not just all about Gaming... I can also use the PC for other uses, too... Like Drawing, Typing, Web Design, Computer Programing, and many other uses that Consoles just cant provide me...

I also enjoy Console Gaming, cause everyone has a platform thats built equally the same, everyone can Game at the same performance, & Cheating is still possible, but Cheating is much harder to pull off on a Console... Controllers are also way more Stable on a Console, too... Consoles are also cheaper built, too

Problem is that recently today in 2020, major changes have started to happen to Technology, & my views on Console Vs PC Gaming, has completely been changing right now...

Today in 2020, Gaming is being ruined by Devs, & such... I wont stand for that, so ive done way less Gaming since...

I refuse, & will never go Mobile Gaming, though... A phone is for making Phone Calls, & no other purpose...

Gaming in general has greatly declined over the last 15 years or so, for many reasons, including the ones mentioned above.

But consoles have gone to ♥♥♥♥ even worse. Extortionate DRM and DLC ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Sony's firmware backstabbing. Nintendo's ridiculous subscription model and cancelling hardware support too quickly. Microsoft pushing their designed-by-a-blind-monkey controllers and worthless, restrictive xinput standard. EA's continued existence.

Consoles have always been far less cost-effective in my country and are still quite the luxury. Console games are a lot more expensive too. And the number of genres they can cover is lower than a PC's. All games which can be played on consoles can be ported to PC but not vice-versa. Can't play a game like Company of Heroes or XCOM on a console, but PC-versions of Guilty Gear, BlazBlue and Under Night in-Birth exist and work just fine too. That's just a few examples.

Making PC go all Digital is allowing the PC Game Devs to do this same thing to the PC Games, too... Digital puts Devs in control, & Physical puts Gamers in control... Going all Digital is part of whats ruining PC Gaming, & its about to hit Console Gaming, in a Negative way, too

I've been gaming 30 years. Longer than Valve has been a company. I have gamed on multiple consoles as well as on PC.

I prefer PC for multiple reasons. It is cheaper to game on PC. There is a wider variety of games that I can play. I can emulate consoles and thus play their games. I can mod games should I choose to do so, whether the developer intends for me to be able to or not, and have an easier time doing it. And I can do more than just play video games with a PC as it is a computer. It is not a glorified babysitter for children whose parents don't love them enough to be involved in their lives.

You want to know why console gamers are inherently bratty, entitled or petulant? That last one is a pretty important reason why.

I like to be in control of how and what I play and the customization options for PC cannot be beaten. I'd say it's not user friendly if you're not into computers and finding things like patches and software upgraded can take hours. If you don't have the time or the patience/experience you should definitely just get a console.
