Thanks Henry, I'll check that out. I've read a lot about the subject, and it's true, Melody has gone by the wayside in most music today. This is why I can't listen to modern R&B. It's misnamed, for one. Otis Redding, The Temptations, and Marvin Gaye are R&B. Today's R&B I call 2-note R&B, because there's no melody -- it's a rap sung in two notes a fifth apart, with stupid embellishment pretending to be soulful.
