Jet Li vs Jackie Chan?
Who do you like better?

I think that most people will say Jackie Chan. Personally, I like Jet Li better, but only when he isn't playing in those Chinese fantasy films where people can fly and stuff or as some extra in Expendables. It seems like he isn't making many movies these days, so I guess that is the end of him. Too bad. I will miss him. I will miss him way more than Jackie Chan.

Yeah, Kung Fu Hustle was one of my favorite movies of all time, in all genres of movies. Shaolin Soccer wasn't bad either. But since then, all of his movies sucked. CJ7 sucked.
Completely unrelated... But if you like odd films like Kung Fu Hustle, track down

And yeah. Don't ask why Quentin Tarantino is there. I am not sure he knows why he is there.

But if we are movie to other fighters, check out Donnie Yen in Dragon Tiger Gate. A lot of the fights are insane and massive. Yen is actually very intimidating in the film, which is odd to say. But he is. It's rare to see that in a movie, at least for me. But watching him do his sequences, I am just like... "Nope. I would give up."

Or, Chocolate!

Oh crap! Chocolate is such a good fight film.

I haven't watched many movies with Jet Li, but Jackie Chan's fights were pretty funny and creative.

Jackie's accent gets on my nerves. It's horrible, even after all these years. He barely squeaks by every time he talks or acts. Because despite the action and comedy, he just screams "foreigner" with his weird facial expressions and clumsy choice of words. His movies are okay but easily forgettable and they don't get your heart racing like Jet Li does in some of his better films, which were a long time ago. The most memorable thing that I can think of in Jackie's career is him doing handstand pushups. That was amazing. But even though Jet Li was better in some movies, most of his movies aren't so good. But most of Jackie Chan's movies have same level of quality and are consistent. Plus Jackie makes a lot more movies and a lot of them are Americanized. So for that reason, Jackie stands out more. It's a shame because Jet Li should be more famous than Bruce Lee by now. Jet Li was amazing in his day as a serious, non comedy actor.

Jackie
Because he's a very nice guy and he did all his stunts
Both actors do different types of films and have different styles of martial arts.

I like them both equally, for different reasons.

But come on. Neither of them is Donnie Yen.

I kinda like Jackie Chan more than Jet Li. Jackie has done dangerous stunts in his career and there's no surprise that he's still doing it despite his age.
They've both made some legendary movies. Their American output is pretty much garbage though which happens with most Asian movie stars when they transition to the West for some reason.
Same with Chow Yun Fat, apart from The Replacement Killers he hasn't made any decent English language movies IMO but his Hong Kong movies are classics.
If you like historical epic movies then Jet Li's The Warlords is well worth checking out. Andy Lau's in it too.
Little Big Soldier is a great recent Jackie Chan movie.
Jackie Chan. I liked both in forgotten Kingdom though.

I actually just loaded this back up to mention that movie.

Actually, I wonder what peoples favorite films from each of them are?

Just about every Jackie Chan movie is similarly good, so no point in listing them all.

As for Jet Li...

I liked The One. Romeo Must Die was pretty good. I can't remember Black Mask, but I think that it was decent since he was pretty OP. Kiss of the Dragon was completely forgettable, but I remember the very ending when he killed someone with the 'kiss of the dragon'. And there were some old movies of his that he made in China that I liked a lot. One of them was The New Legend of Shaolin. I can't really remember the other ones, but it was around the same time as The New Legend of Shaolin which was badass BTW.

TL;DR - I would watch The New Legend of Shaolin, The One, and Romeo Must Die.

Oh, if I picked, I would, for Jackie, pick City Hunter or Legend of the Drunken Master. both of those movies are really hard to forget.

Jet, Oh I would go with Unleashed, as that movie is all kinds of badass. Followed up closely by Fist of Legend.

Probably the Kartate Kid remake and Rush Hour. The only movie with Jet Li I have seen is forgotten Kingdom so that one aswell I guess.

Jackie. If this was a competition for best actor in martial arts, Donnie yen would wipe the floor against these two.
Stephen Chow.

Favorite Jackie Chan movie is Drunken Master of course, a close second though is Who Am I. That was one if the first Jackie Chan movies i saw and had probably the most dangerous stunt ever.

I always forget that the new Karate Kid movie was a thing.

Which is really odd, as I actually really liked it. I mean, aside from it having the stupidest name in the history of cinema.
