threat =/= thread... thread is ok if it follows steam forum rules while threat is serious and can land you a ban in steam forums and outside of steam, possible jail time if warranted...

Even then they'd only know the thread has new posts. There's no option to receive updates whenever someone on your friendlist makes a post.
