My favorite thing about David Cage games is the lack of fail states
Best known for Fahrenheit, beyond two souls and heavy rain, story driven games with quick time button prompts instead of game play systems. They're pretty fun despite how simple they are, but what I mean by the lack of fail states is that you can fail absolutely every button prompt and still get to the end of the game. It might not be a good end, might not even be a bad one, but the end will be different. It is the video game equivalent of the participation award, most games tell you to try again if you fail to win the first lap of the race, but Davids let you blow through and give you the chance to get in front without repeating the first lap

So you like to play games where you don't have to play and you'll get an ending anyway?

Might as well watch a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ movie :VSnake:

Heavy Rain was fantastic.

I haven't heard of the other two though.

I am, if you have any argument to provide as to why Indigo Prophecy, Beyond Two Souls and Heavy Rain are good 'games'

I've described the gameplay well enough I think.

Yes, and that doesn't make them good games. Far from it

To each their own. I fell asleep when I tried it the first time. Good thing I didn't drop the controller, otherwise the owner of the PS3 would be pretty pissed.

Not the biggest fan of the gameplay, but the story was good.

I just like story-driven games.
I don't want a purple ribbon for failure, I want to load a save game from 2 hours ago and try again.
Indigo was just alright. Two Souls and Heavy Rain were pure trash though. They were less game and more ♥♥♥♥ movie. They do poorly what Telltale does well. If you want to have a discussion, lets talk over why you enjoy games with a zero fail rate, which means there is zero effort or challenge.

Lack of fail states? You've clearly never played Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy or Omikron.
They do have fail states. Anything that sends me to sleep is a fail state.

I loved Two Souls and was so hyped for Heavy Rain, but more like Heavy Snooze Fest.
