What are good singleplayer games that i can sink a hundred hours into with a budget of $30?

I wrote this up for a person who posted another thread about having $30 to spend he had 4 or 5 game choices that he was trying to decide between I cant find that thread so I hope the following information is usefule to you .


Before I tell you the game I like of your choices that you talk about I am going to give you some general practical advice on the buying process i use particularly on a game that is going to cost me 30 dollars or more .



1 negative reviews
the first thing I will do is read the negative reviews I try to read at least 3 negative reviews
by default steam will to show you the positive reviews

If their are no negative reviews shown

I usually re set the filter to all Its usually set to most useful .by default I then look at the positive reviews and follow the same process.

3 lets play video
I then look for a lets play video on you tube . quite often what will be featured on the advertising video are all the cut scenes in the game without any game play shown . My favorite of your above choices does this
so this type of what i would call false advertising does not mean it is a bad game however when a game is sold like that it does make me suspicious .

4 internet movie data base
anyway with all that information out of the way the one that I have played and like is the witcher 3 wild hunt series . It does have some very long cut scenes in the game .

The other thing i like to do is look at the internet movie data base on the game

the parents guide will usually be fairly accurate as to what to expect as far as anything offensive this is a link to the Internet movie data base for the witcher 3

Play on every level, play every minigames or whatever it had and buy dlc's and you can spend at least 100 hous with this game. I doubt there are even singleplayer games which you can play hundreds hours.
