How do you Factory Restore an Apple TV 1st gen with your pc

I bought this Apple TV for real cheap and it's stuck in recovery mode. I can't factory data reset it with the remote so I need to use my pc. Can someone help me out?

Have you tried booting it with extensions off? (An old mac trick)
