Everything you've heard about monkfish is true. It's disgusting - basically a lump of slime on your plate.
If brown were to be given a flavour, that's what this is. Yves veggie back bacon tastes like brown.

No. It really isn't. I've had monkfish before too, and yes, it is truly vile. The Yves veggie back bacon is worse.

Depends on the bug, and one how you cook it. Witchetty Grubs are delicious when fried or seared, they have a taste & texture a bit like firm scrambled eggs. Gives a whole new meaning to getting some grub.
