It seems to mostly be about how crass you can be, and less about clever observation or wordplay.

The last 4 comedy stand-up specials I watched all can be repackaged as bad TED talks (and no one would know the difference).

Comedy? There are still good ones, and Chappelle is one of the best.

General humor? It's dark. It's very temporal. Tell a joke that was popular a year ago and you get yelled at for telling a joke that's "ancient". Tell a joke that's timeless and was funny in the 1930s and you get called a boomer. If the joke isn't newer than a week ago, the always-online will know, and will tell you how old the joke is.

Ghanan Funeral Dancer memes will always be funny to me. Never mind that they're a whole month old now.

I haven't really seen much humor that I appreciated. Knives Out had some good dry humor. Reminded me a lot of Clue or Murder by Death. But with less Peter Sellers Chinese impression.

I tend to be more of an absurdist or clever wit. Mel Brooks films. Pretty much all of Tom Hanks and John Candy's comedys.

I did enjoy Tucker & Dale vs Evil and the Evil Dead series. of course Bruce Campbell is a national treasure and Tucker & Dale was a clever take on the slasher film.

Everything's gotten so politically correct. I don't want someone just wandering around screaming racial slurs and crap but I would like people to stop being so darn sensitive.

Also I'm looking forward to the fact that I'm getting a new season of Red Dwarf. This pleases me greatly.

George Carlin was the first thing that came to mind, and I remember getting a laugh from those movies you listed.

Seems like bits and pieces of humor scattered here and there over the years.

I feel like people focus too hard on being shocking and offensive, and there's not much beyond that. There's no substance.

humour of the 21st century? what humour? most of it are edgy teens bordering on total cheesiness it isn't close to funny. using stupid phrases and words that make no sense, like they can't be bothered to try and provide a clue to what it is they are trying to be funny about.
