If it stops being fun, don't play it.
Also, you can't take games seriously, it's just improvisation. You will gain or lose nothing in life except time by engaging in these.
That being said,
...that's dedication.
The most important part is having fun. People who have fun should try to win, but shouldn't care about losing. As a start on practicing eliminating your toxicity, maybe muting your mic and cursing at nothing could work.
Another idea is to take a step back and play something less competitive for a while. Try and learn to have fun, regardless if you're winning or loosing (which is why I suggest less competitive games).
Accepting who you are doesn't mean you shouldn't try and stop behaving in bad ways, especially if you yourself don't like it to begin with. Being toxic isn't a good thing.
It’s not up to you what you do with your fingers, or your voice.
or is it just the act of losing that makes you upset?
If you can figure that out, it's what separates the pros from the noobs.
You see, they are always clear headed and quite relaxed while gaming, then win or lose, thinking in the back of their mind how to improve on a mistake or two. A mistake is actually quite fine and how you learn quicker. It's the not repeating the same mistake which you should be focused more upon.
Some people are doomed to try avoid mistakes and scapegoat blame something else for it, etc. They fear making a mistake. Therefore they repeat it over. They don't even see themselves doing it, but it's that loop which is the actual frustration. Not just a single lost.
