Any space games (preferably open world) where you can walk around your ship?
I need something to scratch that itch.

EvE was a 2 Part Game that became a Hybrid of the 2 Games...
No idea how they pulled that off...

It's not exactly Open World, but?

You can explore your ship while not in Game, once in Game you
got like 1000 Planets to explore in EvE Dust 514, while some are
Hostile, some are not Hostile... They prob are not very big Maps, though...
But EvE Online allows you to explore the Outer Space section of EvE,
where EvE Dust 514 allows you to explore the ground portion...

To make matters even more fun, you get large space battles in EvE Online,
& you also get to fry, nuke, or lazer beam planets cooking human players
from your Big Motherships in Outer Space, oO

Meerly everthing can be Customized, even Vehicles, but whenever you die
in the Game, you stay Dead... Yes, every character in the Game gets 1 Life...

It's a First Person SyFy Shooter...

---------------------------------------------

There was an Open World Third Person Game, I think? Can't remember,
but you get to Explore your Ship, although, i'm uncertain what it's name was...

I think it had a Trailer around the time that Fallout Shelter was being announced...
A while ago...

------------------------------------------

I believe there are some Gundam Games, that allow you to walk around your Ship,
when not in a Mission... No?

Good Luck...

I don't recommend Eve Online. It's an online scam. Literally. The game permits scamming. If a player finds some sort of loophole to get your stuff (like a broken, misleading contract), then CCP (Eve's devs) won't do anything about it. BUYER BEWARE.

In case anyone is thinking that I'm kidding:

https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203218892-Scams

A scam is what happens when someone takes advantage of a players misplaced trust, temporary confusion or ignorance of game rules, and robs players via legal in-game means. When this occurs, there is nothing the Support Team can do for the victim.

You can literally walk in and around your ship on The Outer Worlds + it's open world. Too bad it's not on Steam yet.

Same with Outer Wilds (although it's a fairly small ship). It isn't on Steam either though

There is a free game based on The Orville. You can explore the whole ship. But it is not a game. Just seeing the ship. I think. There have been some like this for the Star Trek ships. But not free.
