Snakes in games.

Why aren't there snakes in more open-world games?

I wondered this after playing Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, and seeing the coiled snakes in some caves and tombs. Horribly done, too. But at least they're in there. In their sad, limited way.

But no snakes in Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3, NV, or 4, RDR 2... I seem to remember seeing them in RDR 1, but I could be thinking of seeing them in Far Cry 3? But they're not in Diablo 3 (are they?), Grim Dawn, or Path of Exile.

In fact I think AC:Odyssey is the only game I own that has snakes.

Are they too hard to animate or something?

What games have you played that feature snakes in the bestiary?

EDIT: Corrected by the community on several games above.

Snakes aren't something people focus on when they make a game, it's really just something added for realism or thrilling factor. It really depends on the reason why they want to add a snake to the game.

And well. Most Bethesda made games are extremely lacking, the community has to fix most bugs and even when it comes down to it they have to add more content to the games.

Some mmo snakes can kick.

I'm not sure about animations but they hiss and kick.

Red Dead 2 ABSOLUTELY has snakes. They're a pretty regular threat for your horse, and snake skin can be used to craft quite a bit.

It ... it amazes me that I don't recall ever having heard anything about snakes on planes in any of AirForceProud's videos.

Someone needs to rectify that.

The snakes and rabbits I thought just helped to hinder performance in Arma 3, also there seem to be too many of them around usually.

The should have giant worm things instead from Dune.
