Sadly, I think it just comes off as patronizing, but I don't mean it that way.
Being nice is actually being who you are in the exact same moment, whether it's an emotion, too (unless you can fake emotions, which results in acting as well).
That's how I see it.
But is it really?
Whether you are honestly being nice or only pretending to be nice to people, as long as they think you were sincere and are happy with it, does it really matter?
And on the other hand, you can say you were being tough on someone because you love them, but fat load of good that’s going to do when they make life-ruining decisions because of that.
As long as we’re not being asshats to people, whether we are truly nice or not doesn’t matter to the average stranger whom we encounter.
Of course, friends and family are a different story. But it’s much easier to be genuinely nice ti people who are close to us.
Its kinda if you write an apology letter to a friend or girlfriend and then your friend says that you didnt really mean what you wrote, it doesnt really matter if you mean what you wrote, the important part is that you took time out of your day and used effort to write that apology letter to your friend, this alone shows how important your friend is to you no matter if the words are true or not
It's a hallow apology.
EVERYONE has those thoughts when we just wish someone dead (gruesomely if possible). It's not an "evil" thing, it's just a "human" thing.
So?
