True Police Chase Simulation

Despite more arcade games like NFS or GTA Is there a gam/sim/mod that resembles authentic police chases including proper vehicle+traffic behaviour and real police tactics and the true challenge that makes it (almost) impossible to successfully evade once a chase is ongoing.

Something like the first scene from the movie "Drive" meets real Dashcam/Helicopter chase footage. I am carving for an experience like this, is there anything on Steam like this.

I think that would only work if scripted. And then its too narrow to be fun.

true? or real? in either event i don't think there is a proper simulation like that out there. GTA V is easy to evade 5 star wanted levels in the hills far enough from any roads and then using the map to identify visual detection cones.

i remember of the original driver game, i was chased by cops and it was brutal dodging between traffic and parked traffic with the cops on your tail and midtown madness had its moments as well.

I think the only way you'd find what you're looking for is starting a high speed chase IRL. I don't recommend this though.

I remember the fat cops, if a pursuit went by a police station they would run and commandeer the nearest parked vehicle and join the chase. Shame LCPDFR and GTA 4 crashed so often, it was a really crappy PC port (GTA4).
