A real-life Disney princess living in a countryside straight out of a Studio Ghibli film! She speaks very little and rarely, so her self-produced videos are about the otherworldly imagery and instrumental music.

Li's channel is only two years old on YouTube. Until last year, very few people outside China had heard about her. Since last summer, she kinda blew up outside China[www.theguardian.com] and has been gaining roughly 1 million subscribers every month or other month or so. Her channel currently has about 11 million subscribers, and it should reach 12 millions by the end of July.
There has been a lot of copycats, mostly other Chinese. However, Li was the first or one of the firsts who produces this kind of videos, and her productions are still the best. The best and earliest similar channel being Danxi Xiaoge, who had been less accessible to foreign audiences because she used to speak more... in Mandarin Chinese. Danxi started making videos at about the same time as Li, and Danxi did not start out as a copycat of Li. However, as Li has become more successful, Danxi's more recent videos have become more and more like Li's: less speaking (in a language foreign to people outside China) to appeal to international audiences, more imagery, more music.
