Games I can play with my sister

My family has had it rough, and I need to teach my sister that she can have fun without constantly bugging my mother. I am 21, and she is 13 (though, without going into it, she has missed a few developmental years). All the games I have for consols are single player, and all the games I can find online are far too complex. Any suggestions for games, in steam or otherwise, that I can play with her? I'm looking for easy to learn, easy to play, non competitive, co-op games that do not require too much hand-eye co-ordination.

I would check out portal 2. has a fun coop with cool characters. Also Goat simulator is a fun, silly game

Portal and the *Sims are fairly popular with both sexes. They are also good for beginners and don't have a steep learning curve and are good gateways to more complex games.

*If you don't have any Sims games yet buy TS3 rather than 4. The base game is better and I don't have any Sims 4 DLC, stuff packs, expansion packs, or whatever they call them now, but extra content is cheaper for TS3 than TS4.

Toki Tori are lovely games , and I think fits your criteria well - Just check out which you want, because 1 and 2 are supposedly very different ( I`ve only played 2 ) .

Portal to play with your sister who is 13? Hell no. Although she is 17 by now.

The Lego adventure games are perfect for this, I played them with my gf as well. Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Star Wars, etcetera.

If she's going through her rebellious teen phase, you maybe hard pressed to redirect that energy elsewhere. My youngest sister was at my mother's throat for years until she mellowed out, somewhat.

I suggest timesinks, like Animal Crossing, or Sky: Children of the Light.
