*If you don't have any Sims games yet buy TS3 rather than 4. The base game is better and I don't have any Sims 4 DLC, stuff packs, expansion packs, or whatever they call them now, but extra content is cheaper for TS3 than TS4.

Portal to play with your sister who is 13? Hell no. Although she is 17 by now.
The Lego adventure games are perfect for this, I played them with my gf as well. Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Star Wars, etcetera.
I suggest timesinks, like Animal Crossing, or Sky: Children of the Light.
