Im really impressed with wildlands, thats like the best ubisoft game i have played.

I happen to ave liked the game myself. But a few hours in, it gets REAL repetitive like most Ubisoft games. It doesn't even have the charm of great side characters like Farcry does, to keep it afloat. The multiplayer can be a blast, for a bit, but again, it gets stale pretty fast. My coop partners and I abandoned it pretty quickly, which is bad for a full price game, and we went back to blitzing around Borderlands 2 and L4D2 custom campaigns for amusement. Hell, the first game we left and started playing together was Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising because we had more fun just goofing around on maps.

Trip A games can be great, they can deliver a unique and exciting experience. But they can also be total trash. What easily comes to mind is a game from a dev I love. Colonial Marines. A3 budget, A3 hype. Total piece of ♥♥♥♥.

If your only reason to play games starts with how they look, you are not gaming right. I love me some beautiful games, but that appearance is a side thought. I am there for the gameplay, to have fun. Which is why 10 years from now I will still be playing games like Fancy Skulls, FF Tactics, Claire, ME 2 and 3 (1 was a ♥♥♥♥ show of poor ideas), and dare I even say Red Dead Redemption.

As for my laugh at Ubisoft, they are well know for dropping ♥♥♥♥ show games on a rapid basis.

Even PS1 or GBA games could offer me a better experience than some AAA tittle.

It's kinda sad they only offer "features" that you can find in pretty much every same genre and graphics that somehow make it "expensive and polished" while it actually had a mediocre story and lacks of gameplay depth.
The reason why PS1 and PS2 were one of the best selling consoles likely due most of the games have quite unique story and gameplay.
Some doesn't even had an exact copy till now.

Meanwhile AAA...

The reason why most people praise indie due the gameplay and depth they offered including cheap price and no ridiculously overpriced dlc.
Game like Bastion and Transistor easly achieve it.

Most do not. Some do.

Prety much the standard for IRL really. Just be a smart shopper, don't buy hype, never preorder, and wait for sales on games you question if you will like.

I miss the golden era of PS2 where good games matter. It's an honour to be part of it. When it comes to PS2 games, the story were interesting and the gameplay was fun. That's probably the reason why I enjoyed Max Payne and GTA 3, they're story driven games with better gameplay.
