Do people really think that 72F is too hot for a house temperature?
Seriously, that's the ideal temperature to me. I'm not trying to recreate that thread a while back about preferred house temperature, but seriously, how do people think 72 is too hot? Do y'all start sweating at 70, or something?

72F is moderate enough.

72f is sweaty as heck. 65 is where it's at.

Dear God. That's downright frigid!
I like 75 and cooler. When it gets to 71 though I get chills.
80 is nice once in a while but 90+ is uncomfortable.
It might also have to do with the humidity/windchill factor.

With no other source of airflow other than the heater/cooler, 70-71 is the sweet spot.

72 is NICE. I don't understand the people who have their heat in the 60's. Anything below 72 is insanely cold.

I'd like to keep things at a comfortable 69-75 or so, but to keep the electric bill reasonable, I have to leave the dial at 78.

My room got to 101.12F a few days ago and it was unbearable.

I find 72F to be cool, I prefer around 77F

Not sure why someone would be too hot at 72° F. That's marginally warm at worst(best?).

Then again, I'm accustomed to having poor heat/cooling. Inside, temps at my home hover around 60° F in the winter,:lunar2019piginablanket: and around 80° F in the summer.:lunar2019madpig: So I probably have a greater tolerance than most.

72F is what I set my thermostat to all summer.

70F in the winter.

72 is good. 75 and up is getting a little too warm.

I keep mine around 75F, but I'm cold blooded as hell and get cold faster than what's reasonable for most folks. I'm the guy wearing long sleeves while everyone else is in shorts and no shirt.
