Online Dating is garbage!

I'll just point out that every app or site I ever joined is 70% Bot and 30% Female, It's pretty easy to spot the fake profile mostly because the pictures look like Instagram models. And the 30% that are actually women, well ...I really hate to say it but there mostly single moms with 8 kids or obese women. The single moms part, I dated a couple and let me tell you they never ever have time for you ...Obliviously because they have there kids to take care of and they are more important then you are which I won't disagree on, but that's why I stopped dating single moms. By the way whats with all these douche bag dudes that leave there girl friends because they knocked them up? Seriously that's all I see these days.

Now, everyone seems to get a little too sensitive about this issue and it seems that the fat acceptance movement or whatever it is called is highly acceptable in the dating world. Not to judge or anything but that's all I see in dating apps. Like I said everyone has there own taste in women but for me I'm not into that, everytime I get hit with messages it's 98% BBW and I'm a skinny tall dude, it even says on my profiles I hit the gym and want my future partner to have the same habits, I worked hard for my body. I'm tired of all the messages I get from women saying "Us fat women need love too" Well, not from me. Why is it that women can be picky but us guys can't?? Seriously though I get women asking me about my height saying they only date tall guys and I tell them "Oh I'm 6'1"" but when I ask them "How much do you weigh? because I only date thin women" They get all pissy and then block you lol?

So my point is, the online dating world is complete trash if anyone ever want's to find someone. I'd say go out and find someone at a Bar, club, some kind of event or that speed dating thing if that even still exists. Either way, I'm not desperate, my life right now is hectic and I'm mostly working but it would be nice to find someone. I mean, I'm almost 32 but honestly the way the world is going right now being by myself is probably the best thing.

How are you even matching with these people? Every dating app I've seen needs both people to swipe right before a conversation starts, so they obviously fit your taste. Unless you swipe right on people you don't like just to get into fights with them so you can complain on your favourite gaming forum later?

Anyway, Sturgeon's Law applies to all of the Internet, I'm not sure what you were expecting from a dating site.

It absolutely is, and thanks to OKcupid you can see how the deck is stacked against joe average dude because they post all their statistics, like how often the average woman replies to a message and things like 70% of women only reply to the top 6% of men etc etc.

Okcupid is the reason I don't bother with online crap anymore, if I want to meet someone I just go out and do it the old fashioned way.

Setting everything else aside, "Tell me your weight and I'll tell you my height" is a pretty good response to some of the weirder shallow ♥♥♥♥. Like, I have acceptable levels of obesity, like many others, and they're reasonably generous, but I have personal limits in both directions. And while it is wrong to outright judge other people based on superficial qualities, it's not wrong to have personal preferences. It just sounds like some women (and evidently, men too) refuse to understand and don't want to accept that this is a two-way street.

Personally, I never trusted the online dating sites, myself. Lol, they always seemed as dubious as the "video dating" crap we had before the internet became really widespread. Glad that they've been around long enough by now to really get some solid numbers to study, though.

The fact that #FutureExHusband is a tag on Twitter with an enormous amount of tweets attached to it, which contextually are about men that the women tweeting haven't even started dating, - really says a lot about how this isn't an issue being caused JUST by men...

Online Dating sucks for another reason. Even from real female profiles, a hefty portion of them are professional escorts. Those aren't bad if you have the coin, but many probelms and complications can arise. Modern sex-workers are information brokers and can do a number of things to inconvenience you or your business, especially if you are rich and/or prosperous. They excel at manipulation, information gathering plus anything nefarious that can be done, past that.

The rest are bots, gold-diggers seeking marriage, aimless rude trolls who only wish to trash talk at strangers and make fun of them being single, the occasional dangerous, sick gal who stands out to the trained eye (too good to be true appearance wise, agrees readily, doesn't want or even ask for precautions etc) and last but not least, your few underage, bicurious little vixens -who put 10+ years more than their real age- that besides the trouble (and danger) not being worth, they are too immature and messy to get acquainted with.

Also, dating sites are mostly paysites. 99% of those are scam, too. Few are free, allow free communication, or have a basic number of people near your location in order for them to be effective. And even then, lots of nasty surprises can come up. You have better chances socializing out there. Even people that would do many things readily, with somebody they just got to know, consider internet matching dangerous, geeky, or for sobs. Be a winner, flirt offline!

I've heard that most dating websites only work if you have premium. So basically you gotta pay to avoid bots and stuff. Then again I could be wrong, I've never used a dating website.
