Games where you start a rebellion/revolution

I want a game kind of like just cause, or kind of like red faction, the only real game I can think of that is kinda like that is bannerlord but I kinda got bored of that because of missing features even though it still is a great game, but are there any games where you start out as a small group of people and then go around protesting and rioting and starting a rebellion/revolution, I don't want a game where there is a small rebellion mechanic, I want a game that is mainly focused on rebellion, I don't care if the game is on steam or not, or if it is on a console, but I would prefer a pc game.

This game is something like what I am looking for, but instead of you doing newspapers it is you doing actions that lead people to slowly start rebelling and rioting.

Final Fantasy 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, etc. Half the Assassin's Creed franchise, Sonic the Hedgehog, Several of the Metal Gear saga, Half-Life 2.

I have already played half-life 2, haven't really liked the final fantasy games, assassins creed is you just mostly being a pawn in a rebellion, but sonic the hedgehog, how???

I have seen that one but it seems like the majority of people say the game is repetitive and not very fun, also I don't like the idea that being violent gives you a penalty

I second the recommendation of Freedom Fighters, you build your squad and take back territory. Depending on how you execute missions, later missions in the game are altered. I wish it was on STEAM.

Fable 3, you start the game as a prince or princess, your brother is a ruler. You realize he has become tyrannical so you start amassing an army of supporters to help you claim the throne over your tyrannical brother.

Good luck finding it on Steam though, was removed from the store years ago after Games for Windows Live was shut down.

It's not the best Fable and has plenty of flaws. But I still got enjoyment out of playing it, especially with multiplayer.

You'll have an easier time finding it for Xbox 360, it's also backwards compatible on Xbox One.

There's also Homefront The Revolution, a game I played through and finished, it wasn't great. At one point I felt like I had to force myself to keep playing it. The game was also broken and buggy at nearly every turn.

Honestly, with me remembering just these two games and even the RIOT game above. It seems like making a game about rebellion or revolution must be hard to do, because in the end most either end up uninteresting or broken after being made.

There's also Watch Dogs 3 a game that most definitely isn't politically charged in any way. Not released yet though, I'm already feeling like it's going to flop.

I played battlefront 2, the original one, not the new one, and I really enjoyed the galactic conquest that was in it.
